Last week, Rob Dalton and Chris Whitby travelled to Catterick Garrison to support the Move You In Pack initiative delivered through the partnership between e50K and Amey.
Alongside around 100 volunteers from the Armed Forces community, local businesses and military families, we spent the day helping to pack welcome boxes for Service families moving into military accommodation across the UK.
For anyone who has experienced military life, you’ll know that moving regularly is simply part of the journey. A box of essential household items may seem like a small gesture, but it can make a real difference during what is often a stressful and uncertain time for families settling into a new home and community.
Why Supporting the Move You In Pack Day Mattered
As a veteran-led business founded by former Royal Engineer Chris Whitby, supporting the wider Armed Forces community remains incredibly important to us, so it was a privilege to play a small part in such an impactful initiative during Armed Forces Week.
The visit also gave us the opportunity to spend time with the team behind Bramble Woods Community Garden, where we’re looking forward to supporting future projects through the supply of timber carvings and natural features to help enhance the space for the community.
