About Frodsham Tree Solutions

A Veteran based tree surgery team

Frodsham Tree Solutions has been providing tree services for over 25 years, based in the North West of England we are ideally situated to conduct tree services in Cheshire, The Wirral, Merseyside, Greater Manchester, North Wales and Lancashire.

From 1989 to 2015 Chris Whitby served as a soldier in the Royal Engineers, however, whilst on many leave periods he assisted other Arborists in the North West gaining valuable tree, landscaping and gardening experience and working for his tools. Thanks to military resettlement funding, Chris has been able to focus his change of career on tree surgery and has qualified as an arborist at Kingswood Training Services.

Chris subsequently founded Frodsham Tree Solutions and employs fully qualified members of the family and friends.

What sets us apart is not only our technical expertise but also our values. We are deeply committed to offering opportunities to fellow veterans.

Frodsham Tree Solutions have carried out a variety of tree work for the Woodland Trust at our woods across Cheshire for over 5 years. Chris and his team are highly professional, reliable and the quality of their work is always excellent.

They have undertaken a variety of tree work for me, including tree felling and crown reductions on large trees next to properties, roads and footpaths. The work is always carefully planned, risk assessed and carried out safely with consideration for neighbours and passers-by.

Frodsham’s Women’s Institute have used Frodsham Tree Solutions since we took over Manley Copse Seven Years ago. We engaged Frodsham Tree Solutions to plant a new woodland creation scheme. The scheme was a complicated design with many constraints, species buffers and species mixes. Chris and Mark were professional from the outset with clear communication, pricing structure and pre-site visit followed by regular clear end-of-day progress updates. Their team worked efficiently and made solid progress through the job, completing on time to a high standard. I would happily engage them again for similar works in the future.
