How did you end up in tree work (wrong career turn or destiny)?
Wanted to get working in the outdoors and loved climbing, so I looked into work as a tree surgeon.
First day on the job – confidence or instant regret?
Excited to get climbing some decent trees and really pushing myself.
Favourite tree to work on?
Willow trees can be great to climb
Worst tree to work on?
Hawthorn. You just cant avoid a thousand splinters all over your body everytime!
Biggest tree you’ve taken on – who won?
A beech tree that i was pretty nervous about but trusted in my gear and I did overcome those nerves and got the job done.

Worst job you’ve survived?
We had a tree removal at the top of a steep sloping garden and its was raining all day. It was like a slip and slide clearing all the brash and logs.
Weirdest thing you’ve found in a garden or tree?
A once found a tree that had grown around a bike over years and it had lifted it slightly off the ground.
One thing people always get wrong about tree surgeons?
That anyone can do it, they cant!
Your secret skill on the team?
I am very organised

Tea, Milk, 1 sugar and 5-6 cups a day.
